Muskingum Behavioral Health hopes you are enjoying a quality life now. However, if you are having problems, it is our goal to help. The following programs are designed to put you on the road to recovery.
Programs

Adolescent Edutherapy
Teenagers who are identified as having a serious alcohol or
other drug problem will be placed in the full 6-week program. This program meets
every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4-7pm (2-5pm during the summer). This
program also requires involvement in community support groups, participation in random
drug screening, and parental attendance at Family Group and/or
individual family counseling. Lower intensity variations of this program are
available.

Anger/Violence
This is an adult group for clients who have difficulties controlling
their feelings and aggressive actions. These problems have or could lead to serious
arguments, legal problems, or criminal actions.

Aftercare
This is a group that addresses problem solving and relapse prevention
issues. The group is for clients who have completed some form of treatment and are
presently abstaining from using alcohol or other drugs.

Choices
This is an adult pre-treatment group for individuals who are not ready
for our regular treatment groups. It is designed to help individuals move into our
treatment groups or leave the treatment setting if they are not willing to work on their
abuse/ addiction issues.

C.O.P.E.
This treatment program is designed to build a foundation for recovery
from co-dependency. Those attending will learn new ways of dealing with
relationships, feelings, thoughts, and the world around them.

Criminality
This is an adult program for clients who have had multiple
criminal charges. Cognitive and behavioral approaches are used to address
dysfunctional thinking, attitudes, and actions.

Dove
The Ohio Violence Prevention Process/Driving Out Violence Everywhere (OVPP/DOVE) is a systems change model which provides a strong conceptual framework for community groups, organizations, businesses and schools. It is designed to increase the knowledge of participants regarding the many factors within the family and community which portray violence as an acceptable solution tho the problems of everyday life.
OVPP/DOVE promotes cross-gender, multicultural and cross-racial alliances that foster sage, supportive communities and encourage comprehensive planning and coordination to achieve the best experience for participants, sponsoring agencies or groups and communities.

OVPP History
OVPP/DOVE was developed in collaboration with the Oakland Men's Project, a multicultural, community-based violence prevention program in operation since 1979 and dedicated to eliminating male violence.ODADAS has trained over 200 people to facilitate OVPP/DOVE. General presentations, awareness sessions and workshops can be arranged; however, the most effective training structure is 3 to 5 days in length at a site which provides a residential setting for participants and facilitators.

Family Group
It's proven that the average alcoholic affects at least 4 other people.
The family program is open to any family member who is concerned about a loved
one's use / abuse of alcohol or other drugs. Sometimes family members must seek help
first before the addict can seek help for themselves.

I.D.E.A.L.
Adults who have moderate to severe alcohol / drug addiction are placed
in this program. Participants are expected to attend three 3-hour treatment sessions
per week. There will be at least 9 random drug screenings during treatment and
attendance at least three community support group meetings per week is required.

Parents Group
This is an adult group designed to improve paretning skills. This
program specifically addresses the various problems interfering with the
relationship(s)
in the home. Any parent may attend.
